Pete has been playing the trumpet for thirty-three years. He has been teaching for twenty-five years and has been here at Stanroy Music Center since 1996.  His teaching expertise lies in working on the "process" of playing with intermediate and advanced high-school, college, and adult students. However, all ages and levels are welcome in his studio. Pete has a Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music  (Boston, MA) and a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Jazz Studies from California Institute for the Arts (Valencia, CA). He has been an Adjunct Jazz Instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University for over 11 years where he has taught Improvisation, Jazz History and Appreciation, Ensembles, and Studio Trumpet.

Pete teaches the Fundamentals of Trumpet, Jazz Improvisation, and Orchestral Literature.

"Together, student and teacher create a safe, friendly, and supportive environment where any student may advance to the next level in their musical development."

"Success in any style is based on the fundamentals of good musicianship and brass playing."
